FrenchesBassets: Puppies Day 5 and 6

Well, the puppies are almost a week and have doubled in size. The largest puppy weighs about 2 lbs and the smallest a little over 1 lb. They are doing great! All puppies are pretty fat and are getting stronger every day! No longer are they doing the army crawl, but trying to use their legs more and more. It won't be long before they are walking all over the place! Their noses started to turn black real early, only after a few days. Just on Friday, they started to get black around their eyes and paws too. I am sure they will begin to open their eyes in the next few days. The puppies are VERY vocal... I think more so than the last litter. Not only do they do the typical puppy noises, but they SCREAM... and most of the time for no reason. I'll run into the kitchen thinking one is getting squashed and it's just laying next to it's siblings or eating! What crazy dogs! Most of them do not like to snuggle me yet, but Big Hunk and Lil' Bow Wow LOVE to! I think Polka Dot is the noisiest now, but it was Lil' Bow Wow the first few days. I have a feeling they will all begin to take turns! It might all change once their little eyes open and they can see where they are and where they are going!
