Some pics of the pups in need of a new home

**UPDATE**We have 2 females and 1 male left as of 12/17/09 (Angel, Lady and Lil' Bow Wow).

We have been asked by a few people to post some pictures of the pups still in need of new homes. Below are a few pictures. I must say though, it is so hard to take crisp, clean pics these days unless they are sleeping! They are so active, eveything just blurrs and my 'action setting' doesn't work well indoors due to the lighting! But here are a few to enjoy!

Happy 1 Month Birthday Pups!

Santa Clause (aka, Mr. Big Hunk)

Mrs. Clause (aka, Shimmy)

The perfect present under the tree!!
I normally don't dress up our dogs, but I saw these outfits at Target before the pups were even born and thought they would look so cute in them! They are already so big that they don't close all the way, but they got in them non the less!

They got their second dose of deworming meds today. They range in weight from 4 lbs 9 oz all the way to 6 lbs 8 oz. Wow, Pickles was 6 lbs when we got her at 6 weeks! They are doing really well. They love to play, eat, sleep and well, play, eat and sleep! They love to snuggle and bite your feet too! And oh, puppy kisses are plentiful which always makes me smile! Let's see what else... this past week they began to eat puppy food with just a little bit of water to make it softer. No more 'puppy soup'. They have collars and some have new homes picked out already! Each personality is just blossoming. Polka Dot isn't the only 'sassy' one any more! Sometimes they are so mean to each other... their teeth are so sharp and they have no idea that yelping from a litter mate means 'stop'! They will learn though.

Yeah, Daddy still doesn't fit. He tried this last year, and I guess thought he would try again.

This is Pickles when we first got her at 6 weeks...

...and this is a picture of Shimmy I took today. I think they look so much alike, it's amazing! (I know they are related, but the facial markings are so similar...)

(I have video clips, but I'll put those in another post soon!)

Cannoli Updates!

Here are some pictures of Cannoli! She was one of the precious pups from our first litter. (Girl with Dot on Her Head/Blue Collar Girl) Here she is at 5.5 months.

Here she is at 7 months. Man she looks just like her mama I think!!

Here she is at 9 months.

And here she is just last week when it snowed in Houston! (She is almost 11 months in this picture.)
A special thank you goes out to the families who have shared pictures and updates of the pups! It just makes our day hearing from you all!

3 Weeks - Eating Puppy Food, Growing Like Weeds and Getting New Homes!

Well, our pups are growing so fast. Just the past few days we have really seen personalities blossom! I just love them all! They just love to talk and 'play tough' with each other... you can see some of the videos below, but they really don't do them justice. Just as an FYI: Polka Dot girl is crazy... she is a hoot! She just loves to be the toughest chick on the block and yet can be so sweet and snugly; ha! They will play their hearts out and then pass out, so typical for puppies! They love to all come crawling and fall asleep snuggled in my lap, just like the first litter. I love it!

So far 2 pups have new homes and will be picked up on Dec 23rd. Both Shimmy and Babe Ruth have new loving families! I'll be giving them lots of sugar and spoiling them before they go though.

We gave them 'puppy soup' for the first time yesterday, 12/01/09. They just loved it! We didn't give them too much though because we didn't want them to get tummy aches. We've given them multiple dinners since then and they just get so excited! It won't be long before they are weaned and chowing down on the real stuff! Oh, then the big messes come for me... haha.

WARNING: What you are about to see is very very messy...

(Lil' Bow Wow)

Noodles is so good with the puppies; we are really so proud of him.

Remember I said Polka Dot girl was crazy? Well, this is her barking and playing tough. She does this all the time, it's really cute to watch!

2 Weeks Old

Day 11

Noodles and Ares

Day 12

(The puppies barely fit in the little carrier now! You should have seen them when I took them to the vet for their deworming medicine on day 14!!! Big Hunk weighed around 3lbs and Lil' Bow Wow weighed around 2lbs; they are huge!)

Daddy Dog

Well, Shimmy and Polka Dot were the first to open their eyes and then everyone started to follow by day 12 and 13. All the pups all had their eyes open by day 13 and were walking around pretty good, so we had to put the pin up on Day 12. I bought two additional sides and now it's much bigger than last time. Our kitchen is overtaken with puppy stuff now, but it's so much fun. The pin works great and everyone is comfortable!

Day 13
Now that every one's eyes are open, you can really start to see personalities start to develop! Polka Dot is a 'crazy girl' and pretty vocal off and on, Shimmy is a 'crazy sweet heart'. Those two girls are connected at the hip as of now. Two peas in a pod!! Big Hunk is the explorer, love bug and spunky mix! The others are starting to shine too with each day that passes. They all love to kiss you, gnaw on you, bark at you and play with each other! You should hear all the noises they make; so much more vocal than last bunch, ha!
